Black-Tailed Prairie Dog Program

Yuma County Pest Control District will cost share with landowners, with land in Yuma County, on the purchase of pesticide and equipment for the use in controlling Black-tailed prairie dogs.
Pesticide must be legal for Black-tailed prairie dog control in the state of Colorado.
Purchases must be made during the calendar year of appropriation.
Pesticide may be purchased in or out of the county, but to receive the cost share it needs to be purchased from other retails businesses not from Yuma County Pest Control.
Yuma County Pest Control District will pay up to $300 a year per landowner on the purchase of pesticide.
Yuma County Pest Control District will pay up to $150 a year per landowner on the purchase of control equipment.
Yuma County Pest Control District reserves the right to ascertain and/or inspect areas treated with cost share pesticides or equipment.
Yuma County Pest Control District reserves the right, based on its sole discretion, to determine those eligible for reimbursement.
Owner/Operator must include a copy of the invoice of the purchase with the cost share application.
